Indication
- Respiratory tract disorders - Excessive or viscous mucus - Acute and chronic bronchitis - Productive or wet cough
Ingredients
- Carbocisteine
Direction
Administer orally using a measuring spoon or cup. Dosage is typically 5ml (100mg) two to three times daily depending on the child's age and weight.
Side effects
- Nausea
- Gastric discomfort
- Diarrhea
- Skin rash or allergic reaction
Precautions
- History of gastric or duodenal ulcers
- Monitor patients with diabetes (syrup contains sucrose)
- Avoid use in infants under 2 years old
- Consult doctor if symptoms persist beyond 5 days
