Indication
- Relief of productive cough - Treatment of respiratory tract congestion - Reducing mucus viscosity - Facilitating expectoration of phlegm
Ingredients
- Carbocisteine
Direction
Take orally, usually 15ml or one measuring spoon three times daily. Best taken between meals for optimal absorption.
Side effects
- Nausea or vomiting
- Gastric discomfort or pain
- Diarrhea
- Allergic skin reactions or rash
Precautions
- History of gastric or duodenal ulcers
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding consultation required
- Patients with reduced cough reflex
- Concurrent use of antitussive medicines
