Indication

- Schizophrenia and psychotic disorders - Management of nausea and vomiting - Relief of intractable hiccups - Severe behavioral problems in children - Acute intermittent porphyria symptoms

Ingredients

• Chlorpromazine Hydrochloride

Direction

Take orally as directed by a physician, usually divided into two to four doses daily. It can be taken with or without food.

Side effects

• Dry mouth and blurred vision
• Weight gain and increased appetite
• Tremors or muscle stiffness
• Orthostatic hypotension and dizziness
• Constipation and urinary retention

Precautions

• May cause severe drowsiness or sedation
• Avoid alcohol and other depressants
• Increases skin sensitivity to sunlight
• Risk of neuroleptic malignant syndrome
• Monitor for involuntary muscle movements
