Indication
- Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) - Erosive esophagitis - Gastric and duodenal ulcers - Zollinger-Ellison syndrome - H. pylori eradication (combination therapy)
Ingredients
- Esomeprazole
Direction
Take orally at least one hour before a meal, usually once daily. Swallow the capsule whole; do not chew or crush.
Side effects
- Headache
- Diarrhea
- Nausea
- Abdominal pain
- Flatulence
- Dry mouth
- Constipation
Precautions
- May increase risk of bone fractures
- Chronic use risk of Vitamin B12 deficiency
- Potential for low magnesium levels
- Severe liver impairment requires dose adjustment
- May mask symptoms of gastric cancer
