Indication
- Urinary tract infections - Respiratory tract infections - Typhoid fever - Acute otitis media - Cervical/urethral gonorrhea
Ingredients
- Cefixime
Direction
Dissolve the tablet in a teaspoon of water or swallow whole. Can be taken with or without food, typically once or twice daily as prescribed.
Side effects
- Diarrhea
- Nausea
- Abdominal pain
- Dyspepsia
- Skin rash
Precautions
- History of penicillin allergy
- Renal impairment adjustment needed
- Risk of Clostridium difficile
- associated diarrhea
- Potential for seizure in renal failure
