Indication
- Hypertension (high blood pressure) - Congestive heart failure - Left ventricular dysfunction after heart attack
Ingredients
- Carvedilol
Direction
Take orally with food to reduce the risk of orthostatic hypotension. Usually taken twice daily at the same time each day as prescribed.
Side effects
- Dizziness or lightheadedness
- Fatigue and weakness
- Bradycardia (slow heart rate)
- Weight gain
- Hypotension
Precautions
- Do not stop abruptly
- May mask symptoms of hypoglycemia
- Contraindicated in bronchial asthma/COPD
- Monitor heart rate and blood pressure
