Indication
- Hypertension (high blood pressure) - Chronic stable angina pectoris - Vasospastic (Prinzmetal's) angina symptoms
Ingredients
- Nifedipine
Direction
Swallow tablets whole with water, typically once or twice daily. Do not crush, chew, or break the extended-release tablet.
Side effects
- Headache
- Peripheral edema (ankle swelling)
- Dizziness or lightheadedness
- Facial flushing
- Constipation
- Palpitations
Precautions
- Avoid consuming grapefruit juice
- Risk of symptomatic hypotension
- Monitor patients with liver impairment
- Not for acute angina attacks
- May cause peripheral edema (swelling)
