Indication
- Amoebiasis (intestinal and liver) - Giardiasis - Trichomoniasis - Anaerobic bacterial infections - Dental infections - Surgical prophylaxis for anaerobic bacteria
Ingredients
- Metronidazole
Direction
Take orally with or after food to reduce stomach upset. Frequency and duration depend on the specific infection being treated.
Side effects
- Metallic taste in mouth
- Nausea and vomiting
- Darkened or reddish
- brown urine
- Loss of appetite
- Headache and dizziness
Precautions
- Avoid alcohol during and 48 hours after treatment
- History of liver or kidney disease
- Disulfiram
- like reaction with alcohol
- Not recommended in the first trimester of pregnancy
