Indication
- Prophylaxis of angina pectoris - Chronic heart failure management - Coronary artery disease treatment
Ingredients
- Isosorbide Mononitrate
Direction
Administer orally with water, usually once or twice daily. Do not crush or chew sustained-release tablets.
Side effects
- Headache
- Dizziness
- Flushing
- Orthostatic hypotension
- Tachycardia
Precautions
- Contraindicated with PDE5 inhibitors (e.g.
- Sildenafil)
- Not for acute angina attacks
- Risk of severe hypotension
- Avoid alcohol consumption
- Monitor for nitrate tolerance
