Indication
- Cardiovascular event prophylaxis - Heart attack prevention - Ischemic stroke prevention - Minor aches and pains - Fever reduction
Ingredients
- Aspirin (Acetylsalicylic acid)
Direction
Take 1 tablet daily with a full glass of water, or as directed by a doctor. Swallow the tablet whole; do not crush or chew if it is enteric-coated.
Side effects
- Heartburn or indigestion
- Nausea
- Increased bruising or bleeding
- Stomach irritation
Precautions
- Risk of severe stomach bleeding
- Contraindicated in children (Reye's syndrome)
- Avoid if allergic to NSAIDs
- Consult doctor if on anticoagulants
- Do not use if pregnant or nursing
