Indication
- Chronic treatment of asthma - Prevention of exercise-induced bronchoconstriction - Seasonal allergic rhinitis - Perennial allergic rhinitis
Ingredients
- Montelukast (as Montelukast Sodium)
Direction
Administer granules directly into the mouth or mix with a spoonful of cold/room temperature soft food. Take once daily in the evening for asthma.
Side effects
- Upper respiratory tract infection
- Fever
- Headache
- Abdominal pain
- Diarrhea
- Mood or behavior changes
Precautions
- Not for acute asthma attacks
- Monitor for neuropsychiatric/behavioral changes
- Do not abruptly substitute for corticosteroids
- Use with caution in hepatic impairment
