Indication
- Urinary tract infections - Respiratory tract infections - Otitis media - Pneumocystis jirovecii pneumonia - Toxoplasmosis
Ingredients
- Sulfamethoxazole and Trimethoprim
Direction
Take orally with a glass of water, preferably with food. The standard dosage is 1 tablet every 12 hours.
Side effects
- Nausea and vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Skin rash
- Loss of appetite
- Headache
Precautions
- Contraindicated in sulfonamide allergy
- Avoid in severe liver damage
- Avoid in severe kidney disease
- Do not use during pregnancy
- Avoid excessive sunlight exposure
- Risk of serious skin reactions
