Indication
- Partial seizures with complex symptomatology - Generalized tonic-clonic seizures - Mixed seizure patterns - Trigeminal and glossopharyngeal neuralgia pain
Ingredients
- Carbamazepine
Direction
Take orally as directed by a physician, usually with or without food. The dosage is adjusted individually depending on the condition being treated.
Side effects
- Dizziness and drowsiness
- Nausea and vomiting
- Loss of balance
- Dry mouth and constipation
- Headache
Precautions
- Caution in geriatric patients
- Caution in cardiac or hepatic disease
- Avoid abrupt discontinuation of treatment
- Screen for HLA
- B*1502 allele first
- Avoid grapefruit and grapefruit juice
