Indication
- Type 2 diabetes mellitus
Ingredients
- Gliclazide
Direction
Take orally once daily with breakfast. Swallow the tablet whole; do not crush or chew.
Side effects
- Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar)
- Nausea or indigestion
- Diarrhea or abdominal pain
- Skin rash or itching
Precautions
- Contraindicated in type 1 diabetes
- Avoid in severe liver disease
- Avoid in severe kidney disease
- Do not use with miconazole
- Contraindicated in pregnancy and breastfeeding
- Risk of hypoglycemia with skipped meals
