Indication
- Relief of acute asthma attacks - Treatment of bronchospasm in obstructive airway diseases - Management of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease - Relief of wheezing and shortness of breath
Ingredients
- Salbutamol (as sulfate)
Direction
Inhale via a nebulizer as directed by a physician. Do not inject or swallow.
Side effects
- Fine tremors of skeletal muscle
- Palpitations or increased heart rate
- Headache and nervousness
- Muscle cramps
- Throat irritation
Precautions
- Hypersensitivity to salbutamol or excipients
- Caution in patients with cardiovascular disorders
- Monitor for hypokalemia and paradoxical bronchospasm
- Caution in diabetes and hyperthyroidism
- Avoid excessive use to prevent tolerance
