Indication

Treatment of acute infectious diarrhoea in adults and children; prevention and treatment of antibiotic-associated colitis and diarrhoea; adjunct to vancomycin or metronidazole to prevent recurrence of Clostridium difficile infection; prevention of tube-feeding associated diarrhoea; treatment of irritable bowel syndrome.

Ingredients

• Saccharomyces boulardii CNCM I
• 745 250 mg

Direction

Oral route. 1 or 2 capsules once or twice daily, or as directed by a doctor.

Side effects

• Generally well tolerated. Rarely thirst
• constipation
• itching or
• in immunocompromised patients
• fungaemia. If any unusual symptoms occur
• consult a doctor or pharmacist.

Precautions

• Not recommended in critically ill or immunocompromised patients or those with a central venous catheter. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are pregnant
• breastfeeding or have a serious illness.
