Carzepin 200 mg

Indication

Treatment of epilepsy (partial and generalised tonic-clonic seizures); trigeminal neuralgia; and as a mood stabiliser in bipolar disorder.

Ingredients

• Carbamazepine 200 mg

Direction

For oral use. Dose to be individualised by a doctor; refer to the package insert for full dosage information.

Side effects

• May cause dizziness
• drowsiness
• unsteadiness
• nausea
• vomiting
• dry mouth
• blurred or double vision and skin rash. Rarely serious skin reactions or blood
• liver or heart disorders may occur. If any severe or unusual symptoms occur
• consult a doctor or pharmacist.

Precautions

• Not for patients with a history of bone
• marrow depression
• AV block or hypersensitivity to carbamazepine. Use with caution in liver
• kidney or heart disease and during pregnancy or breastfeeding. May reduce the effect of hormonal contraceptives and interact with many other medicines. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use.
