Clamide 5 mg

Indication

A sulfonylurea antidiabetic medicine used to control high blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus, together with diet and exercise.

Ingredients

• Glibenclamide 5 mg

Direction

For oral use. Take as directed by the physician, usually with or before meals. Refer to the package insert for dosage. Follow the prescribed doses.

Side effects

• May cause low blood sugar (hypoglycaemia)
• weight gain
• nausea or stomach upset. If you experience symptoms of hypoglycaemia such as sweating
• trembling or confusion
• consult a doctor or pharmacist.

Precautions

• Not for use in type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis. Use with caution in the elderly and in liver or kidney impairment
• avoid alcohol. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use.
