Indication

Long-term management of chronic hyperuricaemia (high uric acid levels in the blood) in conditions such as gout, to lower uric acid and prevent gout attacks.

Ingredients

• Febuxostat 40 mg

Direction

As directed by the physician. Usually one tablet once daily, with or without food.

Side effects

• May include gout flare
• ups at the start of treatment
• liver function changes
• nausea
• rash
• headache and joint pain. If you experience any adverse effects

Precautions

• Use with caution in patients with heart disease
