Indication

Used to lower high cholesterol and triglyceride levels (hyperlipidemia and mixed dyslipidemia) and to reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, and other cardiovascular events.

Ingredients

• Atorvastatin 20 mg (as atorvastatin calcium trihydrate)

Direction

As directed by the physician. Usually one tablet once daily, with or without food.

Side effects

• May cause muscle pain or weakness
• headache
• nausea
• constipation
• or elevated liver enzymes. Consult a doctor or pharmacist if side effects occur or persist.

Precautions

• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
• especially if you have liver disease
• drink large amounts of alcohol
• or are pregnant or breastfeeding. Report unexplained muscle pain promptly.
