Indication

Used together with diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Ingredients

• Pioglitazone 45 mg (as pioglitazone hydrochloride USP)

Direction

As directed by the physician. Usually one tablet once daily, with or without food.

Side effects

• May cause weight gain
• fluid retention or swelling
• headache
• or increased risk of bone fractures. Consult a doctor or pharmacist if side effects occur or persist.

Precautions

• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
• especially if you have heart failure
• liver disease
• bladder problems
• or are pregnant or breastfeeding.
