Indication

A combination of a statin (rosuvastatin) and a cholesterol-absorption inhibitor (ezetimibe) used with diet to lower high cholesterol and reduce the risk of cardiovascular events when a statin alone is not enough.

Ingredients

• Rosuvastatin 20 mg (as calcium)
• Ezetimibe 10 mg

Direction

As directed by the physician or see package insert for full prescribing information. Usually taken once daily, with or without food.

Side effects

• May cause headache
• muscle aches
• nausea
• tiredness
• or diarrhea. If you experience unexplained muscle pain
• tenderness
• or weakness

Precautions

• Do not use in active liver disease or during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Inform your doctor of all medicines you take. To be sold on the prescription of a registered medical practitioner only. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if you have kidney or thyroid problems.
