Avestalo 10 mg

Indication

Treatment of major depressive disorder and anxiety disorders including generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder. Escitalopram is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI).

Ingredients

• Escitalopram 10 mg (as escitalopram oxalate USP)

Direction

As directed by the physician. Usually one tablet (10 mg) once daily, with or without food.

Side effects

• May cause nausea
• headache
• insomnia
• drowsiness
• dry mouth
• sweating and reduced appetite. If side effects persist or worsen
• consult a doctor or pharmacist.

Precautions

• Do not use with monoamine oxidase inhibitors. Use with caution in patients with liver or kidney impairment
• epilepsy or a history of mania. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
• especially if pregnant
• breastfeeding or taking other medicines.
