Emkit-DS 1.5 mg

Indication

Single-dose oral emergency contraceptive (morning-after pill) to prevent pregnancy after unprotected intercourse or contraceptive failure, taken as soon as possible within 72 hours.

Ingredients

• Levonorgestrel 1.5 mg

Direction

Take one tablet (1.5 mg) orally as a single dose as soon as possible, and no later than 72 hours, after unprotected intercourse. Not more than 2 tablets should be taken orally in a month.

Side effects

• May cause nausea
• abdominal pain
• fatigue
• headache
• dizziness
• breast tenderness and changes in menstrual bleeding. If side effects persist or worsen
• consult a doctor or pharmacist.

Precautions

• Not for routine contraception. Does not protect against sexually transmitted infections. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if pregnant

• or if you have severe liver disease or a history of ectopic pregnancy.
