Indication

Loop diuretic used to treat oedema (fluid retention) associated with heart failure, liver cirrhosis or kidney disease, and to treat high blood pressure (hypertension).

Side effects

• May cause increased urination
• dehydration
• electrolyte imbalance (low potassium
• sodium)
• dizziness
• low blood pressure and thirst. Consult a doctor or pharmacist if side effects occur.

• Prescription
