Lostad 50 mg

Indication

Treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension), protection of kidney function in patients with type 2 diabetes and diabetic nephropathy, and reduction of stroke risk in patients with hypertension and left ventricular hypertrophy. Losartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB).

Ingredients

• Losartan potassium 50 mg

Direction

As directed by the physician. Usually one 50 mg tablet once daily, with or without food.

Side effects

• May cause dizziness
• low blood pressure
• fatigue and increased blood potassium. If side effects persist or worsen
• consult a doctor or pharmacist.

Precautions

• Use with caution in patients with kidney impairment
• dehydration or high blood potassium. Should not be used during pregnancy. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
• especially if breastfeeding or taking other medicines.
