Indication

Treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus to improve glycaemic control; also used to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events and in heart failure and chronic kidney disease as directed.

Ingredients

• Empagliflozin 10 mg

Direction

Take as directed by a physician. Usual dose is one 10 mg tablet once daily. Swallow whole with water.

Side effects

• May cause genital and urinary tract infections
• increased urination or dehydration. If severe or persistent reactions occur
• consult a doctor or pharmacist.

Precautions

• Use with caution in renal impairment
• dehydration and in the elderly. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if pregnant
• breastfeeding or taking other medicines.
