Febo-G 80 mg

Indication

Treatment of chronic hyperuricaemia in conditions where urate deposition has already occurred, including a history or presence of gout (tophi and/or gouty arthritis).

Ingredients

• Febuxostat 80 mg

Direction

The usual dose is one tablet once daily, taken orally with or without food, or as directed by the physician.

Side effects

• May cause gout flares
• liver function abnormalities
• diarrhoea
• headache
• nausea and rash. Consult a doctor or pharmacist if side effects occur or persist.

Precautions

• Use with caution in patients with cardiovascular disease
• liver or kidney impairment. Gout flares may occur when starting treatment. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
• especially if pregnant
• breastfeeding or taking other medicines.
