Empalin 25 mg / 5 mg

Indication

Treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus to improve glycaemic control in adults when combination therapy with empagliflozin and linagliptin is appropriate.

Ingredients

• Empagliflozin 25 mg
• Linagliptin 5 mg

Direction

Take as directed by a physician. Usual dose is one tablet once daily. Swallow whole with water.

Side effects

• May cause genital and urinary tract infections
• increased urination
• low blood sugar (when combined with other diabetes medicines) or dehydration. If severe or persistent reactions occur
• consult a doctor or pharmacist.

Precautions

• Use with caution in renal impairment
• dehydration
• history of pancreatitis and in the elderly. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if pregnant
• breastfeeding or taking other medicines.
