Starcef 200 mg

Indication

Treatment of bacterial infections including respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, otitis media, pharyngitis and tonsillitis caused by susceptible organisms.

Ingredients

• Cefixime 200 mg

Direction

Take as directed by a physician. Usual adult dose is 200 mg twice daily or 400 mg once daily. Swallow the capsule whole with water.

Side effects

• May cause diarrhoea
• nausea
• abdominal pain
• headache or skin rash. If severe or persistent reactions occur
• consult a doctor or pharmacist.

Precautions

• Use with caution in patients with penicillin or cephalosporin allergy and in renal impairment. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if pregnant
• breastfeeding or taking other medicines.
