Indication

An antiviral medicine used to treat and manage infections caused by herpes simplex virus (cold sores, genital herpes) and varicella zoster virus (chickenpox and shingles).

Ingredients

• Aciclovir 200 mg

Direction

For oral use. Take as prescribed by the doctor; refer to the package insert for dosage and other information.

Side effects

• May cause nausea
• vomiting
• diarrhoea
• headache or dizziness. If symptoms persist or you notice reduced urine output
• consult a doctor or pharmacist.

Precautions

• Drink plenty of fluids during treatment. Use with caution in kidney impairment and in the elderly. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if pregnant
• breastfeeding or if you have any medical condition.
