Hirudoid 0.3%

Indication

Topical heparinoid cream used for the treatment of superficial thrombophlebitis, bruises, haematomas and blunt injuries, and to relieve associated inflammation, pain and swelling.

Ingredients

• Mucopolysaccharide polysulphate 0.3 g per 100 g (0.3% w/w)

Direction

For external use only. Apply 3-5 cm of cream to or gently massage into the affected area once or twice daily.

Side effects

• Generally well tolerated. Occasionally local skin reactions such as redness
• itching or irritation may occur. If reactions persist
• discontinue use and consult a doctor or pharmacist.

Precautions

• For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Do not apply to open wounds or broken skin. Keep out of reach of children. If symptoms persist
