Indication
- Rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis - Severe psoriasis and keloid scars - Severe allergic rhinitis - Adjunctive therapy for congestive heart failure
Ingredients
- Triamcinolone acetonide
Direction
Administered by deep intramuscular, intra-articular, or intralesional injection by a healthcare professional. Shake well before use and do not inject intravenously.
Side effects
- Insomnia and restlessness
- Weight gain and fluid retention
- Moon face (Cushingoid features)
- Skin thinning and acne
- Increased risk of infections
Precautions
- Contraindicated in systemic fungal infections
- Contraindicated in immune thrombocytopenia
- Do not inject intravenously or subcutaneously
- Avoid live vaccines during treatment
- Use caution in peptic ulcer disease
