Indication
For the relief of nausea, vomiting, epigastric fullness, bloating, belching and other symptoms of delayed gastric emptying, gastro-oesophageal reflux and dyspepsia.
Ingredients
- Domperidone 10 mg (as domperidone maleate BP)
Direction
For adults: one tablet three to four times daily, taken 15-30 minutes before meals. To be dispensed only on the prescription of a registered physician. See the enclosed leaflet for full dosage information.
Side effects
- Dry mouth and thirst
- Headache
- Abdominal cramps or discomfort
- Raised prolactin levels which may cause galactorrhoea
- breast tenderness or menstrual irregularity
- Rarely cardiac rhythm disturbances (QT prolongation)
Precautions
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
- especially with heart
- liver or kidney disease
- Avoid in patients with known QT prolongation or significant electrolyte disturbances
- Use with caution alongside medicines that affect heart rhythm or that inhibit CYP3A4
- Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless advised by a doctor
- Stop use and seek medical advice if irregular heartbeat
- fainting or allergic reaction occurs
