Deflux 10 mg

Indication

For the relief of nausea, vomiting, epigastric fullness, bloating, belching and other symptoms of delayed gastric emptying, gastro-oesophageal reflux and dyspepsia.

Ingredients

• Domperidone 10 mg (as domperidone maleate BP)

Direction

For adults: one tablet three to four times daily, taken 15-30 minutes before meals. To be dispensed only on the prescription of a registered physician. See the enclosed leaflet for full dosage information.

Side effects

• Dry mouth and thirst
• Headache
• Abdominal cramps or discomfort
• Raised prolactin levels which may cause galactorrhoea
• breast tenderness or menstrual irregularity
• Rarely cardiac rhythm disturbances (QT prolongation)

Precautions

• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
• especially with heart
• liver or kidney disease
• Avoid in patients with known QT prolongation or significant electrolyte disturbances
• Use with caution alongside medicines that affect heart rhythm or that inhibit CYP3A4
• Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless advised by a doctor
• Stop use and seek medical advice if irregular heartbeat
