Pentalink-40 40 mg

Indication

Treatment of gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), erosive oesophagitis, gastric and duodenal ulcers, and conditions of excess stomach acid such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Also used in combination with antibiotics to eradicate Helicobacter pylori.

Ingredients

• Pantoprazole Sodium USP (as Sesquihydrate) equivalent to Pantoprazole 40 mg

Direction

As directed by the physician. Usually one 40 mg tablet once daily, swallowed whole with water before a meal.

Side effects

• Headache
• Diarrhoea or constipation
• Nausea
• abdominal pain or flatulence
• Dizziness

Precautions

• Use with caution in severe liver impairment.
• Long
• term use may lower magnesium and vitamin B12 levels and may increase the risk of bone fracture.
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if pregnant
• breastfeeding
• or taking other medicines. Stop if irritation or allergy occurs.
