Amlocor 10 mg

Indication

A calcium channel blocker used for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and for the prevention of angina (chest pain). Prescription drug.

Ingredients

• Amlodipine 10 mg (as amlodipine besilate BP)

Direction

As directed by the physician. Usual adult dose is one tablet (10 mg) once daily. Do not exceed the indicated dose. Read the instructions carefully before using.

Side effects

• Ankle or leg swelling (peripheral oedema)
• Headache
• Flushing
• Dizziness
• Palpitations and fatigue

Precautions

• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
• especially with heart failure
• liver disease or severe low blood pressure
• Rise slowly from sitting or lying to reduce dizziness
• Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless advised by a doctor
• Tell your doctor about all other medicines
• including those affecting blood pressure
• Stop use and seek medical advice if severe swelling
• fainting or allergic reaction occurs
