Indication
A corticosteroid used for the symptomatic treatment of allergic and inflammatory conditions, and as an adjunct in severe respiratory and other inflammatory disorders.
Ingredients
- Dexamethasone acetate 0.5 mg
Direction
Take orally as directed by a physician. Do not exceed the prescribed dose. Do not stop long-term treatment abruptly.
Side effects
- Increased appetite and weight gain
- Fluid retention or raised blood pressure with prolonged use
- Raised blood sugar and increased infection risk with long
- term use
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if irritation or allergy occurs.
Precautions
- Use with caution in patients with diabetes
- hypertension
- peptic ulcer
- or active infection.
- Do not stop long
- term treatment suddenly
- the dose should be tapered under medical supervision.
- Prolonged or high
