Indication

For symptomatic relief of indigestion. Treatment of gastric ulcer and traveler's diarrhea. Symptomatic treatment of mild, nonspecific diarrhea.

Ingredients

• Bismuth subsalicylate 262 mg

Direction

Adults: 2 tablespoonfuls 4 times daily, before meals and at bedtime. Children 9-12 years: 1 tablespoonful; 6-9 years: 2 teaspoonfuls; 3-6 years: 1 teaspoonful. Under 3 years as directed by the physician. May repeat every 1/2-1 hour if needed, not exceeding 8 doses per day. Shake well before use.

Side effects

• Temporary blackening of the tongue and stools may occur while taking this medication. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if irritation or allergy occurs.
