Indication

An orange-flavoured paracetamol oral suspension for children, used for the relief of fever and pain.

Ingredients

• Paracetamol 250 mg / 5 ml

Direction

Take only when there is pain or fever, no more than 5 times a day, at least 4 hours apart. Dose by body weight: 9-13 kg = 2.5 ml (½ teaspoon); 13-17 kg = 3.75 ml (¾ teaspoon); 17-25 kg = 5 ml (1 teaspoon); 25-34 kg = 7.5 ml (1½ teaspoons); 34-50 kg = 10 ml (2 teaspoons). Do not use for more than 5 consecutive days. Shake well before use.

Side effects

• Paracetamol is usually well tolerated at recommended doses
• Rare allergic reactions such as facial swelling
• eyelid or lip swelling

• rash or peeling skin — stop and see a doctor immediately
• Overdose can cause serious liver damage
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if irritation or allergy occurs

Precautions

• Do not exceed the recommended dose — overdose is toxic to the liver
• Do not use together with other medicines containing paracetamol to avoid overdose
• do not use for more than 5 days
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if the child regularly consumes alcohol or has liver or kidney disease
