Indication

Cefuroxime axetil is a second-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections caused by susceptible organisms, including upper and lower respiratory tract infections (such as pharyngitis, tonsillitis, sinusitis, acute bronchitis and pneumonia), urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and early Lyme disease.

Ingredients

• Cefuroxime 500 mg (as cefuroxime axetil)

Direction

Adults: usually 250 mg to 500 mg twice daily depending on the infection, taken after food. Do not chew or crush the tablets. Use exactly as prescribed and complete the full course. Refer to the enclosed leaflet and consult a doctor.
