Axprazol 0.5 mg

Indication

Alprazolam is a benzodiazepine used for the short-term treatment of anxiety disorders, including generalised anxiety and anxiety associated with depression, and for the management of panic disorder with or without agoraphobia.

Ingredients

• Alprazolam 0.5 mg

Direction

Take by mouth exactly as directed by a physician. The dose is individualised and started low, then adjusted to response. Treatment should be as short as possible and the dose must be reduced gradually before stopping; do not stop abruptly.

Precautions

• This medicine may be habit
• forming on prolonged use
• use only as prescribed and for the shortest time needed
• May impair the ability to drive or operate machinery
• Avoid alcohol during treatment
• Use with caution in the elderly and avoid in severe respiratory insufficiency
• sleep apnoea and severe liver impairment
• avoid in pregnancy and breastfeeding unless advised by a doctor
