Indication
Treatment of bacterial infections caused by susceptible micro-organisms: ear, nose and throat infections, respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections and skin infections.
Ingredients
- Cefalexin 250 mg
Direction
Pour the contents of one sachet into a half-glass of water, stir for a few seconds and drink immediately. Children: 25 to 50 mg/kg/day divided into 2 to 4 doses. Adults: 2 g per day divided into 2 to 4 doses. Preferably take on an empty stomach.
Side effects
- Diarrhoea
- nausea
- vomiting or abdominal discomfort.
- Allergic reactions such as skin rash
- itching or urticaria.
- Rarely
- severe hypersensitivity reactions.
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if irritation or allergy occurs.
Precautions
- Tell your doctor if you are allergic to cephalosporins or penicillins (risk of cross
- allergy).
- Use with caution in patients with kidney impairment.
- Complete the full prescribed course even if symptoms improve.
