Cotrim 800 mg / 160 mg

Indication

Treatment of infections caused by susceptible organisms, including acute and chronic bronchopulmonary infections, urogenital infections (particularly prostatitis), otitis media, and digestive infections such as typhoid fever. Also used for treatment and prevention of Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia.

Ingredients

• Sulfamethoxazole 800 mg
• Trimethoprim 160 mg

Direction

Usual dose: 1 tablet twice daily. Severe cases: 3 tablets per day. To be taken preferably with meals. Follow the prescribed doses.

Precautions

• Contraindicated in patients with sulfonamide allergy
