Ferrovit Ferrous Fumarate 162 mg

Indication

An iron supplement with folic acid and vitamin B12 formulated for an accelerated haematopoietic (blood-forming) response. It is used to treat and prevent iron-deficiency anaemia in pregnancy and other anaemias, and to support increased iron and folate requirements.

Ingredients

• Ferrous Fumarate 162 mg (equivalent to 53.25 mg iron)
• Folic Acid 0.75 mg
• Vitamin B12 7.50 mcg

Direction

Take as directed by a physician, usually one softgel capsule daily or as advised. Read the instructions carefully before use.

Side effects

• Iron may cause mild gastrointestinal upset

• Darkening of the stools (harmless)
• Occasional abdominal discomfort
