Indication

Sulpiride is a benzamide antipsychotic. Each capsule is indicated for neurotic states with inhibition and for the psychosomatic component of some organic diseases.

Ingredients

• Sulpiride 50 mg

Direction

For oral use. The usual adult dose is 50 mg, three times daily, or as directed by your physician. Should comply strictly with your doctor's prescription.

Side effects

• Drowsiness
• sedation or dizziness
• Movement disorders such as tremor or restlessness (extrapyramidal symptoms) at higher doses
• Elevated prolactin causing breast enlargement
• milk secretion or menstrual changes
• weight gain
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if irritation or allergy occurs

Precautions

• Contraindicated in patients with confirmed or suspected phaeochromocytoma
• Use with caution in epilepsy
• Parkinson's disease
• kidney impairment and in the elderly
• May impair the ability to drive or operate machinery
• avoid alcohol
• Use during pregnancy and breast
• feeding only if clearly needed and under medical supervision
