Ibuprofène 400 mg

Indication

Symptomatic treatment of chronic inflammatory rheumatism, certain painful disabling osteoarthritis, abarticular rheumatism, microcrystalline arthritis, osteoarthritis and radicular pain. Also used in traumatology and for dysmenorrhoea (painful periods).

Ingredients

• Ibuprofen 400 mg

Direction

Reserved for adults, to be taken during meals. Rheumatology: attack treatment 2400 mg (6 tablets) per day; maintenance treatment 1200 to 1600 mg (3 to 4 tablets) per day. Dysmenorrhoea: 1 tablet of 400 mg, 3 to 4 times per day. Follow the prescribed doses.

Side effects

• Gastrointestinal effects such as nausea
• vomiting
• dyspepsia
• abdominal pain
• diarrhoea and
• rarely
• gastric ulcer or bleeding
• Headache
• dizziness
• Skin rash or allergic (hypersensitivity) reactions
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if irritation or allergy occurs

Precautions

• Avoid in patients with active peptic ulcer or a history of gastrointestinal bleeding
• Use with caution in patients with kidney
• liver or heart disease

• Not recommended during the third trimester of pregnancy
