Indication

Treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension) and prevention of angina (chest pain) associated with coronary artery disease. It relaxes and widens the blood vessels to improve blood flow.

Ingredients

• Amlodipine besylate BP equivalent to Amlodipine 5 mg

Direction

Take one tablet orally once daily, or as directed by a physician, with or without food and preferably at the same time each day. Swallow whole with water. Do not stop suddenly without medical advice.

Side effects

• Ankle or leg swelling (oedema)
• Headache
• dizziness or flushing
• Tiredness and palpitations
• Nausea or abdominal discomfort

Precautions

• Tell your doctor if you have severe low blood pressure
• heart failure or liver problems
• Rise slowly from sitting or lying to reduce dizziness
• Not usually recommended in pregnancy or breastfeeding unless prescribed
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if irritation or allergy occurs
