Indication
Relief of ocular congestion (red, bloodshot eyes) and conjunctivitis, and of nasal congestion. Used as eye and nose drops.
Ingredients
- Naphazoline hydrochloride 10 mg/10 mL (0.1%)
Direction
For the nose: 1 to 3 drops each time, 3 times daily. For the eyes: 1 to 2 drops each time, 2 times daily.
Side effects
- Transient stinging
- burning or dryness may occur on application.
- Prolonged or excessive use can cause rebound congestion.
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if irritation or allergy occurs.
Precautions
- Do not use continuously for more than a few days to avoid rebound congestion.
- Use with caution in patients with glaucoma
- high blood pressure
- heart disease or hyperthyroidism.
- Avoid contamination of the dropper tip and do not share the bottle.
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if irritation or allergy occurs.
