Indication

Combined oral contraceptive for the prevention of pregnancy. It may also help with premenstrual symptoms and moderate acne in women who also want contraception.

Ingredients

• Drospirenone 3 mg
• Ethinylestradiol 0.03 mg

Direction

Take one tablet by mouth at the same time each day for 21 days, followed by a 7-day tablet-free interval before starting the next pack. Start on the first day of the menstrual cycle unless directed otherwise by a doctor.

Side effects

• Nausea

• Rare but serious: blood clots (deep vein thrombosis
• pulmonary embolism)
• seek urgent care for leg swelling
• chest pain or breathlessness

Precautions

• Not for use in pregnancy or if there is a history of blood clots
• stroke
• or certain cancers
• Increased clot risk in smokers
• especially women over 35
• Tell your doctor about migraines
• high blood pressure
• diabetes or liver disease before use
