Indication

Combined oral contraceptive pill for the prevention of pregnancy. Each combipack of 28 tablets contains 21 active desogestrel and ethinylestradiol tablets plus 7 inert reminder tablets for continuous daily dosing.

Ingredients

• Desogestrel 150 mcg
• Ethinylestradiol 30 mcg

Direction

Take one tablet by mouth at the same time each day for 28 days without a break (21 active tablets followed by 7 inert tablets), then start the next pack immediately. Read the package insert before use.

Side effects

• Nausea
• breast tenderness
• headache
• Breakthrough bleeding or spotting between periods
• Mood changes
• reduced libido
• Rare but serious: blood clots (deep vein thrombosis
• pulmonary embolism)
• seek urgent care for leg swelling
• chest pain or breathlessness

Precautions

• Not for use in pregnancy or if there is a history of blood clots
• stroke
• or certain cancers
• Increased clot risk in smokers
• especially women over 35
• Tell your doctor about migraines
• high blood pressure
• diabetes or liver disease before use
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if irritation or allergy occurs
